Welcome to the Chrysalis Performance Consulting. My name is Steven Goldstein, Managing Director and Lead Coach at Chrysalis Performance Consulting. We work predominantly in the financial market sphere, working with trading and investment business helping them to develop their ‘Human Capital’. At the core our businesses us about getting businesses and their people to perform better, work better together, and collectively to deliver greater value and improved results. Our clients include International Investment Banks, Global Hedge Funds, Investment and Asset Management Businesses, and Commodity Trading Firms. We look to work with business that value their people, and see their people as their path to success.
I am an Executive and Performance Coach working with people from a variety of fields, though predominantly with individuals from financial market and financial risk businesses. I qualified as an Executive Coach from the highly respected ‘Academy of Executive Coaching’, and have worked with managers, risk-takers, and key individuals, over many years to help them improve their performance, grow their capabilities, and overcome challenges and hurdles they face in their work.
Prior to becoming a coach, I spent almost 25 years working as a trader and risk professional at some of the world’s leading investment banks. During my time I developed a strong passion for trading, markets and risk. I have always been fascinated by the people aspect of performance and behaviour in the trading arena. I developed an understanding what drives people in their roles and what counts towards great performance. In 2001 I was fortunate to be the beneficiary of executive coaching, which had a significant impact on my outlook, perspective and performance in the coming years. I also studied for an Executive MBA at Cass Business School, graduating in 2003. Both these events were to be significant in deepening my self-awareness and broadening my perspective beyond trading and banking. In 2009 I stepped away from trading and began developing myself as a coach, working with traders, managers, brokers, salespeople, as well as people from other professions. The bulk of my work still remains in financial markets, particularly with traders, portfolio managers and business managers, where I work with clients from as far afield as Australia, Hong Kong, and the US.
