Delivering culture change in complex organisations such as Investment Banks and Financial Markets business is difficult at the best of times. To do so successfully requires developing, adopting and embracing new attitudes, mindsets, and ways of working and being. Crucially these changes have to be accepted and embedded into how people think and work. The goal is that eventually the new culture seems normal, however reaching this stage is far simpler in words than in practice, and without a commitment to implement and sustain change, the bank’s people and practices can revert to old ways of working after the initial focus on achieving change wanes.
At Chrysalis we have worked with Investment Banks and Financial Market Business to help implement and deliver cultural and behavioural change. We have seen where businesses get this right and others fail. Our work in this area has helped businesses initiate programmes which aim to ensure that cultural change starts to occur and become part of the new way of thinking and working.
